A Vehicle Service Contract (VSC) is often referred to as an “auto warranty” or an “extended car warranty,” but it is not a warranty. A VSC provides repair coverage for your vehicle after the manufacturer’s car warranty expires. It is a contract between you and a VSC provider or administrator that specifies what repairs are covered and what are not. Coverage limits, terms, and conditions apply. Not all vehicles qualify for coverage, and not all repairs may be covered by the VSC you purchase. All repairs must be pre-approved and performed by a licensed repair facility. Coverage availability varies by state and is not available in some areas, including California. You may have the right to cancel your VSC for a refund within a specified period.
